games

I am interested in game-based learning and have begun developing games to use in my teaching.

With colleagues, I designed a card game called Sources. The objective of the game is to encourage students to think more closely about the value of information in different contexts and choose academic materials carefully and appropriately.

This game is the basis for two Twine games. Twine is an open source software for digital storytelling.

I have also written Do we take shelter? Evaluating “high stakes” information, an immersive role-playing game. The game is designed to teach students to evaluate and use primary sources.
